Raising Awareness
For Veteran & first responder Suicide Prevention

Fighting for those who fought for our country.

Together we will succeed!

Our Mission

Why We Do This.

More than 22 veterans die by suicide everyday. Since the start of the Global War on terror in 2001 there have been over 7,100 combat related deaths. In that same period there have been over 125,000 Veteran Suicides. This is unacceptable.

22Mohawks mission is dedicated to reducing that number.

22Mohawks is a 501c3 nonprofit located in Sharon, MA helping veterans and first responders lead themselves to find purpose.

We do this through a blend of mental fitness classes, outreach, and community events, along with our two core programs 22Mohawks Pups for Vets & First Responders and the 22Mohawks Airborne Operations Course and Retreat.

Our mission and commitment for veterans and first responders is ‘together, we will succeed.’

We anchor on three core values: courage—to carry on despite the feeling of overwhelming pain or fear; social connection—through shared experiences from those who understand; conviction—to persevere.

We operate as the first point of contact for our service members when they return home from duty or to those who have been home and become lost. Our goal is to provide the social and mental support veterans and first responders need while bringing together their loved ones and communities.

More than 22 veterans die by suicide per day. For perspective, that’s more deaths each year than the total number of American military deaths in Afghanistan and Iraq.

Pentagon figures show the suicide rate for active-duty troops across all service branches rose by over a third in five years, up to 24.8 per 100,000 active-duty members in 2018.
