WHO: VETERANS AND FIRST RESPONDERS

WHAT: 10 WEEK GOFI DOG TRAINER CERTIFICATION PROGRAM

WHEN: NEXT CLASS DATES WILL BE ANNOUNCED IN FEB. IF YOU ARE INTERESTED PLEASE REGISTER BELOW TO GET THE PROCESS STARTED.

STARTED JAN 8 RUNS MONDAY-THURSDAY 0900-1300 WITH TRAINING ENDING AT 1200 AND 1 HOUR OF EQUINE THERAPY FROM 12-1300.

WHERE: GOFI 323 HIGH ST. WALPOLE MA.

This project’s first mission will launch Jan 8th bringing 6 veterans / first responders together for a 10 week dog training certificate program held at GOFI in Walpole Ma. The veterans / first responders chosen will be working with a GOFI Golden Retriever puppy to begin training them to become service dogs.  Participants will will have the option (if all requirements are met)  of taking the puppy home and puppy raising for 10 weeks or choose not to. If you have another dog in the home this will not be an option.

This program is provided for free to the veterans and first responders chosen.

About the two organizations: 

GOFI’s Mission is to empower people with a disability to live a more fulfilling life with the love and assistance of a dog and a mentor. Golden Opportunities for Independence breeds, raises and trains English type Golden Retrievers for people with disabilities to gain independence.

22Mohawks is a 501(c)(3) Veteran Charitable Organization helping veterans and first responders lead themselves to find purpose. We do this by bringing veterans, their families and the community together through social connection to create a sense of belonging, hosting annual static line parachuting retreats, providing companion dogs with basic obedience training through our Pups for Vets Program and teaching Suicide Prevention Classes.
